Alert the media! Wait, I am the media. Well, whatever. The point is, we have some pretty major beauty news for Taylor Swift (and red lipstick) fans: As of today, we finally know the exact brand and shade she wears. Maybe it’s what the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra was waiting to reveal.

But seriously, it’s about time. For years, beauty lovers, color theory enthusiasts, Glamour editors, and Swifties have theorized to no avail, desperately seeking to solve the mystery of which red lipstick Taylor Swift could possibly wear. Not only is it her signature look, but it’s seemingly totally smudge-proof: Swift’s red lipstick has stayed put through countless kisses with Travis Kelce, Eras Tour performances, and even torrential downpours.

Well as of today, we finally have the answer. While Swift herself didn’t confirm which lip she wears, her longtime makeup artist, Lorrie Turk, did. Drumroll, please….

According to Turk’s Instagram story, which she shared on Tuesday, October 1, Taylor Swift’s token red lipstick—or at least the one she’s been wearing most recently—is none other than Nars Matte Lipstick in Morocco.

Unfortunately, this exciting announcement also comes with a pretty major caveat: While now we have an answer, the actual product is no longer being sold (at least not in the US).

But don’t worry, Swifties! Nars does still produce two very similar products, one of which is the literal exact same shade, just in lip stain form.

NARS Powermatte Long-Lasting Lipstick in Start Me Up

NARS Air Matte Lip Color NARS in Morocco

The first is Nars Powermatte Long-Lasting Lipstick in Start Me Up, which is a warm pink brown. The second, which is again, the exact same color as Swift’s, is Nars Air Matte Lip Color in the shade Morocco. If you compare these shades with Swift’s recent photos, you’ll see they’re pretty perfect matches.

And there you have it! Finally, one of the greatest beauty mysteries of our time has officially been solved.
